Blog #3:

A specialty that I have selected is Fashion. Ways that my specialty is reported in is print ( Seventeen Magazine), internet ( Seventeen.com), also many fashion topics are shown on E! news. Online the news of fashion is presented with many pictures. In the magazine it is shown with pictures an some blurbs about what people have to say on the clothing and styles. On shows fashion is more criticized than anything, and can show videos of people on the red carpet, ect. I prefer reading about fashion in a magazine than any other source. Although, I am more interested in the online outlook of fashion. Challenges of showing fashion on the media is if people don't agree then you do not get many views. Advantages are that you can see fashion from different aspects. What is best for the consumer is that of fashion online or in a magazine because you're able to see and decide what you like the most. For a business standpoint on the television it is better because more people will be viewing.

After all of the interesting presentations on journalists that our class provided for us, I must say the most intriguing to my eyes was Anna Wintour. I find this to be very amusing and challenging in a fun aspect because she was in such charge but got to accomplish doing something she loved; fashion. If my name was known around the world for being an amazing editor for a famous magazine then my life just might be complete. I know it was said that she was rude and hard to work with but I think  people need to respect it and see her for her talent not her personal attitude. Out of all the presentations the one journalist that I would avoid is by far Janet Cook. She is a terrible person that lied and got credit for it at first. This is inexcusable and I am more then proud that she is not employed today.

Blog Assignment #1:

My expectations of the Blog Assignments are to be able to write to my best ability and hopefully blog freely. My "unifying theme" for my blog will be creativity and freedom of expression with my opinion on a topic or the something that the public can relate to. What inspired me to write in my blog is journalism itself, and hoping to better my writing ability.
